Welcome to my website

My name is David, and I am a senior loan officer in the Plano office.  The mindset at HomeTrust Mortgage is centered around how can we help our clients achieve their dreams of homeownership and then work together to make that happen for our clients.  Working at HomeTrust Mortgage reminds me of family.  The people at HomeTrust are wonderful and are some of the most professional people I've ever had a chance to work with.

I started with Murray Savings bank in the 1980s, which emphasized permanent financing for the new homes being built by the builders that were offered construction loans by the Savings & Loan.  I moved on to account executive with Citicorp Mortgage but missed dealing directly with the customer, so I moved back to the retail side of the market.  I have been with HomeTrust Mortgage for the past 14 years serving the public in making their dreams of homeownership come true.

I grew up in a small town in Utah and graduated from Brigham Young University with a finance major and a minor in both marketing and economics.  I moved to Texas in 1982.  I am the proud dad of 7 kids, including 2 sets of twins, and the grandad to 14 children.  I stay busy between family and work, but when there’s time to get away, I enjoy golfing, beach vacations and snow skiing.
